
LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field team competed well in the Oxy Distance Carnival and Spring Break Classic on Saturday afternoon
The Sagehens 4x100m relay team of Jazzmin Duncan, Olivia Reichle, Reia Li, and Tene Ariyo combined for a time of 50.63 seconds to take fifth place. Reichle led the way for Pomona-Pitzer in the 400m, running a 1:03.60 to take 11th place. In the 100m, Ariyo ran a 13.37 second race to take 24th. In the 800m, McKayla Proulx took 14th with a time of 2:27.06 with Natalie Sokol-Snyder taking 28th with a time of 2:33.87. Thea McAfee took 30th in the event with a 2:34.26. In the 1500m, Rhea Braganza took 16th overall with a time of 4:51.45. Katie Cline finished shortly after Braganza, crossing the line in 4:56.04 to take 22nd while Jenna Lange also went under five minutes, taking 26th with a time of 4:58.32. In the 5,000m Abigail Loiselle took eighth overall with a time of 17:44.44 with Mira Terdiman also going sub-18, crossing in 17:51.58 to take 14th place.
In the discus, Sara Anderson finished in 5th with a throw of 31.01m while Zoey Joshlin took 19th with a throw of 21.56m. In the hammer, Anderson took 13th with a throw of 32.31m while Joshlin took 21st after throwing 26.05m. In the javelin, Logan Spoonemore took third overall with a 30.81m throw while Brianna Huynh took seventh after throwing 27.28m. Huynh took 10th in the long jump with a 4.29m jump while Reia Li took 12th with a 4.17m mark. In the triple jump, Ella Bowers took third place with a jump of 10.37m. Natalie Cossio took ninth in the high jump with a 1.40m clearance.
