LOS ANGELES, CA. -- The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Swimming & Diving team earned a 174.50 – 114.50 win over Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponent Occidental College on Saturday afternoon.
The Sagehens have now won against back-to-back SCIAC opponents coming off of a win over Redlands in the previous week.
Pomona-Pitzer won six events throughout the meet against the Tigers.
Gill followed up with a win in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a finish of 2:26.18. Just behind Gill was Alex Werner in second at 2:28.78 and Will in third at 2:31.28.
Anna Newman earned another win for the Sagehens in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:28.44 followed by Kristen Mortimer in second at 5:34.45.
The Sagehens ended the individual events with the top three times in the 200 Yard IM. Haley Kirtland led the way with a time of 2:13.80, Will in second at 2:15.05 and Smith in third at 2:15.11.
In the diving section of the meet, the Sagehens took first, second and third in the one-meter dive. Emma van der Veen took first at 204.60, Eleanor Mackey took second at 202.00 and Ruby Epstein took third at 189.00. For the three-meter dive, the Sagehens also swept the top three spots with van der Veen leading the way at 243.95, Epstein in second at 223.25 and Mackey in third at 197.55.
