CLAREMONT, CA. -- The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Soccer program is pleased to announce the hiring of Taylor Reifert as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2021 season.
"We are so thrilled to have Taylor joining our program and returning to Pomona-Pitzer," said Head Coach Jen Scanlon. "He brings with him the perfect blend between knowing and believing in our system and team culture, while also having new and fresh ideas about how we can continue to get better. Especially with the challenges of being apart over the last year and transitions in our coaching staff, Taylor will jump right in and make an immediate impact to help us prepare for our return and the 2021 season."
Reifert returns to Pomona-Pitzer in 2021 as a coach after he spent two seasons as a player for the Sagehens in 2017 and 2018.
He previously spent two years as the assistant women's soccer coach at Smith College where he trained goalkeepers as well as assisted with all areas of the program including recruiting, team operations, and social media. Reifert helped recruit the largest and most geographically diverse Smith Soccer incoming class in recent history, securing six early decision commitments and 11 total incoming players for the class of 2025. Reifert also assisted the Sagehens during their 2018 postseason run in the SCIAC tournament.
Reifert graduated from Pitzer College in 2019 with a degree in Anthropology and continued his education at Smith College earning a Masters in Exercise and Sport Science in 2021.
