Rodarte, Otsuka, Deatherage Named To NFCA All-Region Team
May 15, 2019The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced 364 players to the 2019 NCAA Division III All-Region softball teams today, May 15. The Pomona-Pitzer Softball Team saw three athletes named onto the All-Region West team after a season in which the team went 31-12-1 overall and 21-7 in the SCIAC, finishing runner-up in the SCIAC Tournament. -
Softball: Sagehens End SCIAC Championship Run In Whittier Loss
May 05, 2019CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Softball Team concluded their season at the SCIAC Championship, falling to Whittier College in the final round 4-3 on Sunday afternoon. The Sagehens wrapped up a solid season where they finished in second place in the SCIAC with a 31-12-1 record overall and 21-7 in conference play. -
Softball: Pomona-Pitzer Edges Out Whittier In 10-Inning Thriller
May 04, 2019CLAREMONT, CA. – The second day of the SCIAC Tournament provided plenty of dramatic moments, but in the end the Pomona-Pitzer Softball Team prevailed 6-5 over Whittier College after 10 innings. Katy Hurley batted 2-for-5 with a team-high three RBIs while Alondra Reynoso threw 4.2 innings of shutout relief, striking out two for the win. -

The Sagehens shutout the Tigers in their first game 11-0 and followed with a 12-6 win in the second game. Liz Rodarte earned her 13th win of the season and pitched 10.1 innings with 10 strikeouts without surrendering a single run. -

March 29, 2019The Pomona-Pitzer Softball program swept through the Cal Lutheran Regals on Friday afternoon, winning both games via mercy rule. The Sagehens took the first game 8-0 in five innings and later dominated through a 14-5 victory in six innings in the second game. Liz Rodarte earned two wins that day, reaching 10 total wins this season. -

Deatherage had a solid game at the plate, hitting a combined 3-for-6 with two RBIs, and three runs. -

Both Sagehens’ pitchers Liz Rodarte and Alondra Reynoso were lights out in the circle, throwing complete game shutouts and allowing a combined one hit. -

Pomona College Announces Plans for New Athletics Center
