Men's Water Polo Open SCIAC With 12-4 Win Over Occidental

Eagle Rock, Calif. - Tommy Turner scored four goals to lead Pomona-Pitzer's men's water polo squad to a 12-4 win over Occidental Saturday in Eagle Rock.

The win opens conference play for the Sagehens, who move to 8-10 overall after a tough non-conference schedule against numerous ranked teams early in the season.

Pomona-Pitzer ran out to a 4-1 lead after one quarter behind two goals by Turner (pictured), and the Hens never looked back. The Sagehens led, 6-2, after two quarters, and 9-4 after three.

Adding to Turner's four scores were Phillip Clayman, Adam Ward, and Matt Alexander (2 each), plus one goal each from James Baker and Mark Hallman

Pomona-Pitzer hosts Chapman Saturday at 2:00pm.
