Ryan Sanders enters his second season as the Assistant Track and Field/Cross Country Coach for the Sagehens.
Sanders will focus primarily on coaching athletes in the triple jump, long jump, and high jump while also assisting the cross country program in the fall. Sanders will also assist in recruiting athletes for both programs.
Sanders competed locally at Mt. San Antonio College where he won a California State Championship in the triple jump. After transferring to Long Beach State, Sanders won a Big West Championship for the 49ers in the triple jump.
Additionally, he is a two time USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships qualifier. He ranked in the top-30 in the nation in the triple jump after the 2017 season when he set a personal of 16.15 meters.
Sanders, a native of West Covina, CA, prepped locally at Diamond Ranch High School where he later spent a year serving as the triple jump, long jump and high jump coach for the Panthers. He earned an A.A. in Kinesiology from Mt. SAC and a B.A. in Human Development from Long Beach State.
