
CLAREMONT, Ca. - The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Track and Field team had a successful day on Strehle Track, defeating both La Verne and Whittier in a dual meet. The team put up impressive performances across the board, leading to a score of 78-62 against La Verne and a dominant 119-10 victory against Whittier. In the Men's 100 Meter Dash, Kirby Lam (11.14s), Ayodele Cole (11.17s), and Miles Mouradian (11.40s) all put up solid performances, finishing in 3rd, 6th, and 9th place respectively. Harrison Brown, also put up a strong showing, finishing in 10th place with a time of 11.43 seconds. The Men's 200 Meter Dash saw Jake Hallesy and Ayodele Cole finish in 3rd and 4th place respectively, with Hallesy finishing in a time of 22.46 seconds.
In the Men's 400 Meter Dash, Aidan Urbina had an impressive showing, finishing in 6th place with a time of 51.58 seconds. The Men's 800 Meter Run was a strong event for the Pomona-Pitzer team, with Lucas Cunningham finishing in 1st place with a time of 1:57.04, followed by Sebastian Groom in 2nd place with a time of 1:59.51. Jake Ballantine and Josh Gehring also had solid showings, finishing in 4th and 5th place respectively. The Men's 1500 Meter Run saw Owen Kobett, Evan Villano, Jack Stein, Alex Maxwell, and Adam Dieck all finish within the top 8, putting up impressive performances. Derek Fearon (15:15.40) and Jake Ballantine (15:39.97) dominated the Men's 5000 Meter Run, finishing in 1st and 2nd place respectively.
Cameron Hatler had an outstanding performance in the Men's 3000 Meter Steeplechase, finishing in 1st place with a time of 9:39.86.
The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Track and Field team also had strong showings in the relay events, with the 4x100 Meter Relay team finishing in 4th place with a time of 43.73 seconds, and the 4x400 Meter Relay team finishing in 4th place with a time of 3:27.64.
In the field events, Erubey Lopez and Mohammed Ahmed put up solid performances in the Men's High Jump, finishing in 4th and 6th place respectively. Kirby Lam and Euan Kang also had strong showings in the Men's Long Jump, finishing in 2nd and 8th place respectively. Kirby Lam continued his impressive day with a 2nd place finish in the Men's Triple Jump, with a distance of 13.14m.
