
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Pomona-Pitzer men's swim and dive team showed well on Day One of the 2023 NCAA Division III Swim and Dive Championships with Larry Yu advancing to the evening portion of competition. The Sagehens are currently in 19th place as a team with seven team points overall.
Morning Prelims
Larry Yu swam a 4:27.33 in the 500 free to make it to the evening's consolation final. Tag Curwen swam a time of 4:36.61. In the 200 IM, Ted Hwang finished in 27th place with a time of 1:51.24. The 200 medley relay team of Larry Yu, Ted Hwang, Adrian Clement, and Anzo Degiulio combined for a time of 1:30.66.
Evening Finals
Larry Yu represented the Sagehens in the 500 freestyle in the consolation final, touching the wall in 4:26.28 to take second in his heat, 10th overall to earn Second Team All-American honors.
