ORANGE, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Swimming and Diving team defeated Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponent Chapman 204-42 on Saturday morning at Chapman University.
Pomona-Pitzer started the day with a win in the 200 Yard Medley Relay as the Pomona-Pitzer A team of Nick Borowsky, Lukas Ming Menkhoff, Greg Havton and Archie Spindler took first with a time of 1:36.30.
The Sagehens followed with their first individual win of the day as Will Abele took first in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:43.64 and came back with another win in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 52.11.
Matthew Choi finished in first place in the 100 Yard Backstroke clocking in at 59.10 and came back with another win in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:18.33.
Tag Curwen got a win in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 53.39, Jack Montoro took first in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:56.40 as well as Liam O'Shea who took first in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:52.92.
Menkhoff came back with an individual win in the 100 Yard Freestyle at 47.39 while Riley Kinlaw got himself a win as well in the 200 Yard Breaststroke as he clocked in with a top-time of 2:13.71.
Dylan Hou also took first in the 500 Yard Freestyle at 4:45.81 and the Sagehens ended the day with a win in the 200 Yard Freestyle as the C team of Havton, Tim Hough, Hou and Spindler finished with a time of 1:28.13.
During the diving portion of the meet the Sagehens took first in the one-meter dive as Jem Stern finished with a score of 250.20. Stern also took first in the three-meter dive with a score of 290.75.
