Young Men's Golf Team Finishes Ninth At Master's College Invitational

Claremont, Calif. - Pomona-Pitzer finished ninth out of 12 teams at The Master's College Spring Invitational at Robinson Ranch.

The Sagehens had four freshmen and a junior in its line-up, which combined for a three-round score of 962, edging out William Jessup (963), Biola (971) and Carroll (1011). Cal Lutheran won the event with an 888, defeating Cal State San Marcos with an 892.

Junior Chandler Jennings and freshman Guy Thyer tied for low score for the Sagehens with a 241, tying for 36th place out of 62 competitors. Freshman Mitchell Weeks (pictured) finished one stroke behind with a 242 and had the lowest single-round score for a Sagehen with a 75 on Monday, which is also the lowest score for any Pomona-Pitzer golfer this year.

Freshman Kevin Knox came in 46th place and fellow freshman Jordan Fox was 50th to round out the Sagehen scores.

Pomona-Pitzer will be back in action at The West Cup, held at Goose Greek on March 25-26.
