KANSAS CITY, MO. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2019 NABC Coaches' Division III All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III.
Senior Daniel Rosenbaum earned his second First Team All-West Region award of the week after being named to the D3hoops.com All-West team as well.
Rosenbaum earned the honor as he led the Sagehens with 18.9 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game. He started every game this season for the Sagehens and finds himself among the five best players within the West Region as he led the Sagehens to the most successful season in program history. Rosenbaum was also named as the SCIAC Player of the Year and award First Team All-SCIAC honors.
Pomona-Pitzer ended the year 26-3 overall and 15-1 in SCIAC play while capturing the SCIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship. The Sagehens made their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2008 and won their first NCAA Tournament game since 2003 as they defeated Texas-Dallas 58-37 in round one. The Sagehens set a program record for wins (26), SCIAC wins (15) and win-streak (18).
Rosenbaum ends his career No. 2 on the All-Time Career Scoring list with 1,744 points and fourth on Career Three-Pointers Made with 164. He also ended 2018-19 with the second most points in a single season with 547.
He was also selected to participate in the NABC Reese's Division III College All-Star game on Saturday, March 13th at 4:30 p.m. at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum prior to the NCAA Division III championship game in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
