Bountiful athletic facilities are open to all students regardless of participation in organized sports. Rains Center for Sport and Recreation houses two gymnasiums (badminton, basketball, pickleball, volleyball). Also within the center are racquetball, handball and squash courts. The Rains' weight training facility includes, Cable Motion, Hammer Strength, Life Fitness, and Smith machines, free weights, half racks, kettelbells and other equipment. The Rains cardio room offers Life Fitness ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and two types of rowers. 

You'll also find an exercise room for aerobics, ballroom dance, core training, dance, fencing, hip-hop, karate, pilates, PiYo, tai chi, UJam, yoga and zumba, plus locker rooms for students, faculty and staff. Outdoor sports facilities include: Haldeman and Pendleton Pools, baseball, soccer, softball, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee fields, 14 tennis courts at the Pauley and Rogers facilities and an all-weather track. Specific facility schedules are available on the Physical Education/Athletics website for specific facility schedules.

Aside from an extensive club and intramural sports program, recreation also offers free drop in group fitness classes to all Pomona and Pitzer students.  These classes are for all levels of experience and require nothing else but a willingness to participate. All classes will be in the MacLeod Room (2nd Floor) of the Rains Center.
