Center for Athletics, Recreation & Wellness (CARW)
The centerpiece of the Pomona-Pitzer Athletic Department is the Center for Athletics Recreation and Wellness. It houses Voelkel Gymnasium, which serves as the home court for the Pomona-Pitzer Men's and Women's Basketball and Volleyball programs. |
Pauley Tennis ComplexThe Pauley Tennis Complex, originally constructed in 1989 with thanks from a generous donation by the Edwin Pauley family, is a 10-court plexipave facility that was extensively renovated in 2010, including the resurfacing of all ten courts, new fences and windscreens, additional lighting on four courts, expanded storage facilities, a new team room, improved signage, men's and women's tennis historical records boards, and an outdoor speaker system. The facility has been a host sire for the 2011 NCAA Division III Championships and served as the host venue for the 2014 ITA West Regionals. |
Haldeman PoolThe Haldeman Pool, completed in 1991, serves as the home for the Pomona-Pitzer Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams and Men's and Women's Water Polo teams. The pool contains a 50-meter by 25 yards Olympic-size pool, one and three-meter diving boards and separate locker and training facilities. Haldeman has also been utilized as a training facility for USA Water Polo, including an international match against Italy in December of 2014, and was a host site for the 2015 US Open of Water Polo.

Merritt FieldThe 4,000-seat Merritt Field serves as the home for Pomona-Pitzer Football and was named for legendary Sagehen coach Earl "Fuzz" Merritt ('25), who headed the program from 1925 to 1958. The facility, which is adjacent to the Rains Center, features natural grass, permanent bleacher seating, and a working press box for 12 people. The West end zone also features a trademark giant oak tree behind the goal posts.

South Athletics ComplexFirst opened for varsity competition in 2012, the South Athletics Complex is Pomona-Pitzer's newest athletic facility and serves as the home for the Women's Lacrosse program, while also doubling as a practice facility for the soccer programs. The fully-lit synthetic FieldTurf facility allows for use during inclement weather and in the evening. The brand new complex has already hosted two SCIAC Championship games in 2014 and 2015, as well as an NCAA Second Round contest in 2015. |

Golf Practice FacilityThe new Pomona-Pitzer Golf Practice Facility includes a 5,500 square foot green surface including multiple slopes for different angled puts, seven holes, two authentic sand hazards, a simulated rough area for close chips and a separate simulated fairway area to be used for longer shots towards the green.

Voelkel GymnasiumVoelkel Gymnasium serves as the home court for the Pomona-Pitzer Men's and Women's Basketball and Volleyball programs. The 2,400-seat gymnasium, which can be divided into two or three separate courts, has served as the host for the Elite 100 Boys Basketball camp in the summer of 2015. Rains Center also contains Memorial Gymnasium, which serves as an auxiliary practice facility for the basketball and volleyball programs.
