  • Helen Guo Sets National Leading Mark In 5000m At Bryan Clay Invitational

    AZUSA, CA. -- Racing under the lights at the famed Bryan Clay Invitational, sophomore Helen Guo raced to a national-leading mark in the 5000 meters Thursday at Azusa Pacific University. Guo clocked 16:30.20 to drop her personal best by 21 seconds and record the second-fastest mark in school history.
  • Hens Close Out Final Multi-Dual Before SCIAC Championships

    The Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Track and Field team put on some strong performances at the SCIAC Multi-Dual hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday afternoon. The Sagehens fell to Redlands 117-44 and to CMS 122.50-39.50, but took down Caltech 107-40.

    he Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Track and Field Team hosted 1,500 athletes from the professional ranks as well as Division I, II, III, and NAIA programs across the nation at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational at Strehle Track on Saturday. Looking to improve some personal marks, the Sagehens came out and impressed against top competition.

    The Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Track and Field saw some individuals make their way into the record books at the SCIAC Multi-Dual #2 held in Whittier College on Saturday afternoon. Despite taking first place in six events, the Sagehens lost to the Cal Lutheran Regals 89.00 - 70.00 and to the host Poets 95.00 – 63.00.

    The Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Track and Field program produced some high marks at the Point Loma Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Competing against athletes from other Division II, III, and NAIA programs, several Sagehens produced strong results.

    Helen Guo made her mark in the record books for the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Track and Field program, posting the third-fastest mark in Sagehens’ history in the 5000 Meter Run at the Occidental Distance Carnival on Saturday night.

    The Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Track and Field program came out of the SCIAC Multi Dual 1 with a 1-2 record, outscoring Chapman 120-22 and falling to Occidental 109-53 and La Verne 82-69. The Sagehens yielded strong results, taking first place in three events.

    The Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field team hosted the All Comers Invitational at Strehle Track on Saturday, featuring several Division I, II, and III programs from across the state and a handful of unaffiliated athletes from around the world. Up against elite competition, the Sagehens proved they belong by securing top-10 finishes in seven individual events.
  • Addo-Ashong Wins Two At Occidental Dual Meet

    The Pomona-Pitzer women’s track and field team fell to Occidental College by a close margin, losing 70-66, in their first dual meet of the season. The Sagehens took first place in nine events total, including some standout performances from returnees Katherine Pelz and Vicky-Marie Addo-Ashong.
