CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Football team has released its 2017 regular season football schedule.
The Sagehens will play all of their home conference games under the lights at Merritt Field this year as they will host Chapman, Cal Lutheran, Occidental and La Verne at 7:00 p.m.
Pomona-Pitzer opens up its 2017 schedule on the road this season in Memphis, Tennessee as they take on non-conference opponent Rhodes College and then return home to finish off their non-conference schedule with Lewis & Clark for their home opener on September 16th at 12:00 p.m.
The Sagehens travel to three SCIAC opponents this season as they first head to Whittier on 10/14 and then make a trip to the reigning conference champions in the Redlands Bulldogs on 10/28.
"We are very excited about our 2017 schedule," said Head Coach John Walsh. "Our first game features a national trip to play a tremendous team in Memphis, Rhodes College, and then we follow up with a home game against a very tough opponent in Lewis and Clark from Portland. We have moved all of our home SCIAC games start times to 7:00 p.m. this year. Merritt Field is an awesome environment to play a game on Saturday night. We are hoping to get all of the student body, faculty, staff, parents and alums to come out and support these amazing young men."
The Sixth Street Rivalry will cap off the 2017 regular season for the Sagehens as they travel across the street this year to play Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Fritz B. Burns Stadium on 11/11 at 1:00 p.m.Download the Sagehen App Like us on Facebook Follow us on Twitter Follow us on Instagram Get the Sagehen Scoop
